I am a Canadian-Slovak artist currently based in New York City, where I am pursuing a Master in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. My rapidly evolving practice currently finds itself concerned with the human body, sensuality and emotion. It provokes sensitivities from pleasure to revulsion to despair. These visceral impulses are considered and handled with care, using delicate and intentional application to build depth and stimulate feelings of tenderness. I seek to honour my subjects, to isolate them in a space where they take precedence and demand to be seen and felt.
